Babes Who Bad-Ass: "Always believe in yourself, and love yourself before anyone else." --- Denise on being unapologetic

Babes Who Bad-Ass Interviews

Denise is a total B.A.B.E (Bad-Ass Building Empires) who recently changed her career path from law to programming! She also blogs about coffee, books and new experiences!

Please introduce yourself in 2-5 sentences.
I am a former Law student, who recently changed her career path to programming. I am a huge nerd and book lover, which inspired me to create a blog where I could share my thoughts and where I could be my unapologetic self. Since coffee always fuelled my days, it was only natural that my social media would revolve around it.

What made you start your blog/Instagram/business?
At first, I thought I was just bored and needed something to do. But when I started actually posting and writing, I realized that the creative outlet I had just found was the thing I was missing most in my life. So I pursued that path and let myself be as creative as I needed. It helped a lot with my mental health, too.

What's your biggest goal as a creator/blogger/business owner?
If I could make this my full time job, I would be thrilled. Having a lifestyle blog allowed me to help others and helped me spread the kindness.

What's your biggest challenge as a creator/blogger/business owner?
Ugh, the scheduling! I work long hours at my current job, and scheduling (and following through) writing sessions and photo shoots can sometimes be a hassle. But the end result always makes me think it is worth it

If you can share one tip for someone who also wants to start their own blog/Instagram/business, what would it be?
Be consistent. I know you may have read this a thousand times, but do not underestimate the power of consistency.

Denise is a Babe Who Bad-Ass:

Dream destination
Location - Sweden. In life - Happiness.

Favourite item in your closet
A pair of high-heeled black booties and a plaid scarf.

Your favourite beverage
Coffee, duh ;)

What you are currently obsessed with
Being my best self - don't scoff, it's a lot of constant work (see? Consistency.).

What/Who inspires you the most
Kalyn Nicholson (youtuber). She also suffered from mental health issues (as do I), and she inspires me to get over it and shape my own future.

What is the best Christmas present you have ever received
A book I had wanted for a very long time, which I couldn't afford, at the time.

"Always believe in yourself, and love yourself before anyone else. Once you are happy with who you are, everything else is a breeze (ok, maybe not a total breeze, this is real life afterall, but it is easier on you)."
